This service provides an identified EMS resource, at minimum one ambulance with one Paramedic and one EMT, stationed on-site at an event to respond to any medical emergencies within the event boundaries. EMSA medics adhere to EMS System protocols and policies to ensure that all ill and/or injured patients receive the highest-quality medical care.
- The hourly rate for a dedicated medical standby is $240. This rate is increased 100% for requests submitted less than 7 days before the event.
- EMSA bills a minimum of 4 hours for this service.
- Time accrued beyond the required 4 hours will be billed in increments of 15 minutes.
- EMSA’s dedicated medical standby services are fee-based, and we are unable to offer discounts or service donations.
- Any outstanding balances must be settled before EMSA will accept future event requests.
- Requests are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and must be submitted at least 30 days before the event.
- For large or multi-day, resource-intensive events, requests should be submitted no later than 60 days before the event.
- EMSA reserves the right to decline any event request.
- A fully executed contract is required to secure standby services.
- Event services are only offered within the EMSA-regulated service areas (RSA).
